PLEASE NOTE: Subject to the passage of legislation, the Child Dental Benefits Schedule will close to all patients from 1 July 2016. This means that dental services provided on or after 1 July 2016 will not be eligible for claiming or payment from the Child Dental Benefits Schedule.
Mooroolbark Dental is happy to help you make a dental appointment for your child at the earliest possible convenience. If you would like this scheme to continue you can also sign the petition at http://bit.do/savetheCDBS
The Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) is a Medicare dental program that provides eligible children and teenagers aged 2 to 17 with up to $1000, capped over two consecutive calendar years, for basic dental services. Services that receive a benefit under CDBS include examinations, x-rays, cleaning, fissure sealing, fillings, root canals and extractions. Some of these services have claiming restrictions.
You can find more information about the Child Dental Benefits Schedule at humanservices.gov.au/childdental
At Mooroolbark Dental Surgery, we bulk-bill for eligible patients. This means that your child will not have any out-of-pocket expenses and no up-front fees! If your child is eligible, all you need to do is call us to book an appointment and bring your Medicare card.
